What a great first visit! I popped in for a small hot chocolate and chocolate croissant and was very happy with both. The hot chocolate was delicious and not overly sugary. The croissant was a discounted day-old pastry but was still very good. Very friendly service and a nice bench outside to sit as we cannot sit inside due to covid regulations. A great addition to the neighbourhood. I'll be back for sure!

Just ordered a cinnamon apple latte upon suggestion by the barista and it was so good; It never occurred to me to pair apples and coffee but I am a fan. I love Chaveta! The staff are always so friendly and it feels so good to support small businesses with coMpoStabLe cups!!
Excellent coffee, good dairy-free milk options, tasty snacks, friendly service. Looking forward to whiling away an afternoon at Chaveta once the Plague Years are over. In the mean time, I appreciate their two customer limit, and orderly outdoor line up system.
Excellent service, a very friendly barista making an excellent latte. The pear tart was an indulgent breakfast treat. Cooked perfectly with clear layers of defined puff pastry that were buttery and crisp, not over cooked. It’s not super sweet (which I prefer) and the pear still retained some texture while having a lovely cinnamon undertone. Pear-fection Just a few seconds away from Chaveta Coffee is a clean, friendly family park. It has garbage cans available. Perfect for enjoying a coffee and pastry at a leisurely pace during these covid times.
I love this place! Great coffee, BEST cold brew I’ve ever had! Excellent service, cool music! I have to stop in every time I walk by, it’s too good. If I lived closer I’d be broke lol.

One wouldn't expect to find a cozy corner as such easily in this city, yet it stands welcoming and humble on a beautiful corner. On what would seem is a sleepier stretch of Bathurst St, Chaveta welcomes you with its sight and unique personality. The owners Julian and Michelle are a dedicated, polite and hardworking team to a fault. Their coffee is not only of excellent quality, but also offers a refreshing blend of Robusto dominant roasts as well as a bit of Arabica. The interior decor is reminiscent of Cuban accents, with charming posters of Latin culture and green plants scattered here and there. Their pastries are always fresh and delicious. Whether you're stepping in for a perfect espresso, a bag of their beans, or a latte with your milk of choice (lactose free options are available), you will definitely be in for a warm welcome and a real endearing treat. For a young business, they have truly gotten their fingers on the pulse of proper coffee culture.
I loooove Chaveta! Their brewed coffee is the best I've ever tasted in a coffee shop and I've worked in the coffee industry for close to a decade, so trust me on that one. They have really yummy pastries and a great assortment of danishes with different kinds of fruit, and the cheese scones are delicious. I once saw a man in the store that was being a bit disruptive and the owner gave him a free coffee which was really kind and nice. They're a pivotal part of of the community and I can't recommend them enough. Check it out!
I love coming here. The coffee is good, the staff is kind and friendly, the food is good. i look forward to being able to sit inside (post-covid)!
