I always passed by and wanted to stop. Thankful for them being open during the winter stop. Worth every penny paid. Plenty of everything and taste so good. Definitely recommend.

Overall, the tornado family of restaurants are a gem to the city. Green salsa is good and spicy. The red is mild enough for my beautiful wife. Experience through takeout ordering and fulfillment needs work. I took a day or so to write This review because I was hangry during the moment I saw 5 tacos instead of the ordered 6 tacos (see photo with tacos and receipt) After ordering 6 tacos and saying we wanted both salsas, we get to the window and the person asks, “4 tacos?” No 6... then we get the bag and see only 1 salsa. We need both. Stickers that label the tacos with cheese or bacon etc are also often mislabeled. At the end of the day I’m not eating service but the food. And the food is well above average when compared to all the other offerings around. Though the breakfast sausage taco is on the too salty side, but edible. On the day of my hangriness, I would have rated this place 2 stars but my love for the food and price overpowered me from doing so. I suppose this is the kind of love of Jesus Christ can do in all of us to forgive others when we are hangry at them.
I have been actively looking for a place that makes burritos similar to my favorite place.. that I left back in california when I relocated three years ago. Tornado taco did not just meet the standard, it surpassed my favorite spot I'm so happy I found this place! The food quality is AMAZING for the prices.. it's a steal, for sure.
Tornado taco has been around forever and and a day but there is only one reason for this....it is the best! Words cannot describe the feelings I get when I pull up to the drive thru. I know I will be eating the most flavorful and fresh-tasting food around. Burritos and tacos never tasted better. I am a foodie by every definition of the word and I know good food. Tornado Taco is the Truth!!
Okay so I have mixed feelings about this place. My drive thru experience was definitely lacking. The order was taken quickly along with my payment. As for receiving my food and being the only vehicle in line took way too much time. I sat in line for over 10 minutes. When I received my order (a taco fiesta and a sweet tea) the “receipt” read correctly. I received the correct food but my drink was completely wrong and was given an horchata. And the “receipt” had the food names but didn’t have the amount of cost anywhere on it even though they used a square reader to check out my credit card. Would I go back? probably not.
