High quality shows with a knowledgeable astronomer who takes you through a tour of Brisbane’s night sky after each show. I recommend you book ahead during weekends as shows can book out on the day.

Experienced the show at the Planetarium as part of the World Science Festival with my daughter's before a picnic dinner at the summit. Lovely scenery and atmosphere. My daughter's enjoyed the show and had a lovely evening.

This is a great place to go with older kids especially any with a science/astronomy interest. The presentations and movies shown on the dome are incredible. Be sure to book.

We went to the Saturday live show and it was fantastic. The commentary was great and the display fantastic. We only had literally 3 mins pre show to look in the foyer at the displays though and the gift shop and no tile after the show so that felt a little rushed but it certainly wasn’t a big deal. I would highly recommend it.

It was an amazing place! All the displays were amazing and the We Are Aliens show was amazing as well! Definitely a place to see!

First time here in years and brought the kid to watch one of the shows. Show itself was good but was a bit disappointed that we couldn't spend time looking through the displays in the foyer. We didn't have before the show and didn't realise we couldn't stick around afterwards.

A great place for all ages. During COVID-19 you need to pre-book for star dome session presentations, and the star field session after the presentation is shorter (with session prices adjusted accordingly). A hot tip is to go for the last session of the day because you can spend a little more time in the planetarium after the show finishes. If you want longer night sky sessions, you can register for a Saturday evening session which is 45 mins long, and is a bit free form. There's also a session that uses Google Earth to explore the world projected up onto the dome. This would be very impressive. The planetarium no longer uses the star projector in the centre of the room and has been upgraded with the latest projection system for night sky presentations. I'm old enough to remember what the old system looked like, and if you haven't experienced the new system you simply must go. Tales of a Time Traveler is well worth it for all ages.
