Dream worthy Roquefort sauce and the staff was beyond great Pros: The most friendly and passionate staff we have had in a long time at a restaurant. The house wine was very good for the price. Our three dishes were all excellent. The Steak in Roquefort was to die for. That sauce will make you wake up in the middle of the night from passionate dreams! Cons: Small space and the tables are a bit tight. Note: I like to reserve my 5 star reviews for exceptional experiences. This was a meal we will remember from our 2 weeks traveling around Portugal. The cook (or owner) came around to check in after dinner and showed a true passion for his love of cooking. Oh and the portions were large.
This is a hard review to do as it's not as clear cut as a number out of 5. The food was wonderful and extremely yum and plentiful. Unfortunately the service let this fine establishment down. We were well looked after when we sat down but once our mains were served and the place got busy we were ignored. It felt understaffed and unfortunately the worst service we had in Portugal.
Well prepared dishes, large portions, that kind of home-made feeling. The service was also kind and attentive.
Very good restaurant in Tomar. We went there for lunch and we had codfish and grilled steak. Both dishes were really good and large portion. The service was quick and very nice. Price perfectly in line with the quality of the food. Recommended!
