We stumbled upon this place tonight. We were warmly welcomed by the owner (we think?), an older gentleman who was playing with his grandson. The menu is small but features local specialties. My dad had the Portuguese steak (steak with sliced ham and egg on top, and freshly fried potatoes). I had the house steak which came with a lovely sauce; ordered fries on the side. My son had the fried chicken wings. They were tasty and not greasy. The older gentleman offered my son the same foods to taste as his grandson was eating. He even gave my son a small treat. The service was great, and this is an experience we won't forget. Thank you!

Generous place. Gentlemen....
Located in a historical street of Tomar, this restaurant has traditional Portuguese foods and also drinks. It's open after 15:00 and you can have lunch also after 3 pm there. Highly recommended.
Fine food
Very friendly staff and food that actually tasted of something compared to a lot of Portugese restaurants. There was a Benfica match in so there were a few locals in which gave it a livelier atmosphere than a lot of restaurants
Otímo! We frequent this local restaurant for it's daily specials and have always enjoyed it. Today my husband had the arroz do polvo (8) octopus rice(very good) and I decided to have something off the regular menu, camarão a braz - shrimp, with thinly sliced onions, potatoes and scrambled eggs - think loose omelet. Absolutely amazing. Every bite had shrimp, small, medium and large and all well prepared. It is a take on bachalau a braz. Never had better. Varied menu for all palates. Highly recommend.
Beautiful interior and exterior design, everything is very clean. The food is delicious and the local ciders on tap are quality!
The food was cold. Send back to the kitchen. It came back but the sausage was raw, the fries cold end the bacon non crispy and the meat like a slipper
