Very dog friendly- nice pub food and seating inside and outside! Seems like a very local pub, and being an outsider you can definitely feel that. Social distancing measures seem to be in place though not everyone seems to use them! Nice view and had doggy bowls of water...
Absolutely wonderful pub in a stunning part of Warwickshire. Very easy to get to from the motorway. Staff were friendly and attentive. Made us feel very welcome and accommodated for us needing extra space for Ben. An extra special touch was Ben being able to have his own \dinner\ and being given a blanket to lie on. He was so happy he fell asleep. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend. The prawn starter was great, hence the 2nd star - but it went rapidly downhill. The second starter was a scotch egg, looking at the website before going it looked opulent and rich but what arrived was burnt and overcooked. It was sent back only for the second to arrive worse, the egg yoke on oneside actually had a brown tint as shown in my photo. The mains were skate and a chicken and chips. I had to send my skate back, it was so greasy, pressing with a fork grease simply oozed out, this was served with a chunk of undercooked cabbage and few potatoes so was sent back. We both shared the chicken and chips, and to be honest I have had better at a national chicken shop chain. We fished the chicken out of the pool of fat at the bottom and could not taste any lemon or herb and the chips were rather limp...
