Nice little walk away from home and this place has high quality food. Throw a dart at the menu and enjoy. Happy hour options are great. You can't beat their margaritas. Excellent presentation and taste. Quantity is a little on the small side but this isn't the place to get lit, but a nice buzz makes everything better. Chips and salsa is solid and you can get plantain chips with the guacamole. Seems like a very trendy and hip atmosphere. It is very clean. A great spot for a date, just grabbing a bite, or a group to get ready for a night out.

Stopped coming here over a decade ago because friends got food poisoning here (judging by the alert on their yelp page that is apparently an ongoing issue.). I have been back a few times lately and food was as consistent as I remember. I've never really had any problems here. The only issue is ordering for dine in I had to repeatedly check back at the counter for my food because I did not hear anyone call numbers or try to brig my food out. I eventually found it sitting at the counter when I came back to the register. Besides this food is decent and they are very busy at dinnertime. If you are new to the area this might not be the first place to try in a neighborhood full or great Taquerias. My short list of best Mexican places in the Mission: 1) La Taqueria 2) El Farolito 3) El Toro. Pancho Villa is adequate, with a convenient location.
My wife stumbled upon this place today. She was looking for some healthy for me. I have been trying to eat healthier. I had the Shredded Kale & Quinoa Salad shredded kale, quinoa salad, crispy baked chickpeas, lime pepita seeds, white beans, pico de gallo, sliced avocado & red wine vinaigrette. chef recommends: adobo tofu vegan chipotle jack. My wife opted for the Cali avocado-onion salsa. chef recommends: chicken tinga queso fresco Barrio roasted tomato salsa, avocado, diced red onion & cilantro. chef recommends: beef chorizo jalapeño jack Both with Carne asada, served with beans and cilantro rice. I truly enjoyed my food and I am looking forward to ordering from them again.
Super nice and healthy!! The vibe is the charm here. And we love the options :) Their online ordering system is convenient and easy as well! So happy that there are so many cool places opening in the neighborhood! Highly recommended.
Very strange that my other review was removed, but I did have an unpleasant experience with my first time ordering from them. They filled a bowl up that I ordered about a fifth of the way and while it was delicious, it was definitely a snack sized portion for over 12. You may be picturing Fat Albert right now writing this review, but the serving I received was small enough to fit into the palm of this 130lbers hand. Bummer.
