Looking for a new dining room table and chairs,proved to be a minefield,many places could offer furniture but the table was often veneered,heavy and too big for our requirements. We were recommended to try Riverside Furniture. What a find! Neil and his team could make a table to our specific requirements in Oak,the price was very competitive and we were happy to support a local business. We now have the dining table and chairs in our home and we are very pleased with it, The quality is outstanding,we would fully recommend Riverside Furniture.

I am a bit late reviewing this company, however, I feel the need to share my experience with this firm. A few months ago, I decided to go to the showroom (preference to doing business with a more local independent company) to sample some of their mattresses, there wasn't a very big range to choose from I suppose given the fact it was only a small showroom, but I felt that there was just 1 mattress that would suit my needs or at least that is what I felt with the display/showroom mattress. I paid a deposit, and cleared the balance once delivered after roughly a 10 day wait. After removing the packaging and finally putting the mattress onto a brand new bed base, it soon became obvious that the mattress was Not as soft as the showroom model. I wonder who else can share this annoying experience with other bed retailers? I had numerous conversations via telephone & email with the vendor, and each time never making any satisfactory resolution. The options offered to me were, they would sell me the showroom model for trade price plus VAT, and I would be left to dispose of the mattress I had not long purchased, since the vendor was reluctant to take the mattress back unless proven to be faulty based on hygiene reasons!? I made it clear I had used a mattress protector (as requested by bigger bed retailers i.e. Dreams/Bensons for beds, and that no harm had come to the mattress, basically it was as good as the day it was delivered. After much delay in trying to communicate and reach what was finally obvious an unreachable resolution, several weeks had passed by, I even at 1 point informed that I would look to recover my loss through the small claims court but with so much time already passed it would not necessarily be an easy case to challenge. So the bottom line is, I am now left with a mattress that I do not like.

He has the ability to customise requirements to a high degree and is prepared to consider unusual options even if this means, as in our case, visiting the house on more than one occasion. Neil went to great lengths to ensure we were happy with both the designs and installation.
