Outstanding place to visit for walking, cycling or just to relax and take in the beautiful scenery whilst watching the local birds and other creatures in the area. There are a few circular walks that you can take part in. Recommended to anyone who enjoys nature.
Free well surfaced car park in an excellent location on the bank of the Grand Western Canal with a connecting bridge to the opposite bank, where there is a canal information board with suggested walks etc. There is a picnic table with benches, which is ideal for watching the canal wildlife and overall a really lovely place to visit for everyone, right in the heart of the Mid Devon Countryside.
Enjoyed my visit here today. Not good for wheelchairs really, unless you have one with bigger wheels or a motorised one. Otherwise a lovely place to walk. Picturesque too.
A lovely place to park up for a night. Make sure to look up if you're here with a clear night sky - there's very little light pollution, so a smorgasbord of stars to see. There's a lovely little coffee van in the morning too.
