Love this cafe, staff and management are always so lovely. Food is delicious and the coffee too. Great potions and reasonable price. But aside all that the ambuence and 'feel good' facor of this styllish littel gem never ceases to raise my mood :)

Five stars is a bit generous but four might be a bit mean. We've got to like Tinderbox more over time. It's a bit quirky. The front half has unusual tables, like old doors and cable drums. The back half has two lines of tables. I like the front half but most seem to like the back half. They sell cards, picture frames, specialist tea and similar as well. The food is very good with generous portions. Usually bigger than we'd eat. Soups are a niche the chef has developed. It's often a 'what's this!' sort of soup, but try it and yes. Crispy bacon often appears too. Cakes are on the larger side as well. The sandwiches are usually imaginative and not plain. During 'Eat Out to Help Out' it was busy but the tables have been spaced and the staff wear masks. The menu is on a wall board. There's sanitiser and screens.

Has an artisan feel to the place and a nice atmosphere. The coffee is from a local producer and is brilliant. Although not a huge choice the food selection changes everyday and is always delicious. Not cheap but certainly worth the money.
