Had a lovely stroll around the Fort, very blustery day so just the ticket to blow the Cobwebs away. U fortunately due to 2020 restrictions not a great deal of the Fort is open.however the staff were welcoming and helpful. I will definitely return in the future to get the full experience.

It’s the most beautiful fort that I’ve ever seen. It has a church, many tunnels (well-designed with simplicity), cannons, and of course, Thames river. Good for kids.
We absolutely loved our trip to Tilbury Fort! We all had great fun running up and down grassy banks to peep over the bastion walls. Great views over the Thames. The gunpowder tunnels were fun to explore. Plenty to spark the imagination. Free audio tour available. Really pleasant and helpful attendant. We loved hearing about the recent find of a soldier's diary and other items they hope to one day include in an onsite museum, funds permitting. Refreshments available from the shop, loos on site as well. And free parking. We found the drive through the docks to reach the fort interesting too, especially seeing the huge cruise ships. Highly recommend! Thanks for having us.
Was an interesting place to visit. Good for anyone interested in British military history. It is well kept and has a free car park.
Great place to have a walk or run by the river . Beautiful views as well. You can enter the fort with pre brooked tickets for now.
