Ordered flowers for a funeral, over the phone, and made a specific request for a particular name, that had a very personal and deep significance, to be put on the flowers in silver letters. At the funeral the flowers arrived with the coffin with the name missing. When I phoned the shop the lady apologised, checked the order; yes, the name was on it, and she proceeded to tell me that they'd had to quickly put names on a couple of wreaths that morning, that had been overlooked, but she didnt realise that mine was missing as well. She kept apologising, but said she didnt know how to put things right. She offered to post the letters to me!! It might have been a trivial thing to the business, but to me it was a big deal as my tribute to someone special had been spoiled, and added upset and disappointment to my family on an already sad day. Check your funeral flowers at the last minute.
