Brilliant service very fast and efficient! My partner had a lovely tomato soup with a homemade mini loaf. I had the ploughman's it had some good points and some bad, the two bits of cheese where massive but it just lacked a good bit of pork pie or ham. Also it would benefit from a nice homemade coleslaw. But other then that I was lovely sitting in the sun . Thanks for a nice lunch

Went here for a meal for the first time this evening. The pub itself is a lovely old building, with some quirky features which make it interesting to walk round. The garden is small but absolutely beautiful, I'd like to take lessons from the person making the hanging baskets! The pub is immaculately clean and furnished nicely. The service was very good - our waitress was super. My partner had a rump steak. He is a chef, and was very impressed with the flavour of the beef and how well it had been cooked. I had scampi and it was delicious. The food is fairly traditional pub grub, and I was pleased to see 4 vegetarian options. I like very crispy chips and unfortunately they weren't quite crispy enough for me however the overall experience was lovely so I wouldn't downgrade. It's well worth taking a walk around the lovely village which also boasts an enormous whale bone gate!
Lovely dinner, we arrived just on 14.00 but stopped serving at 14.00 but still let us order. Glad they did it was very tasty especially the home made steak & ale pie with home made chips. Will definitely be eating there again when passing. Even dog friend as we had our 5 month pup with us Meg.
Totally on top of covid restrictions. Very friendly, food and beer good. Recommend.
A brilliant example of a traditional English pub. Good local food, friendly service and excellent selection of drinks. The bar area has a great atmosphere and is a nice area to eat in too. A very clean place throughout, and nice decor.
