Needed a break from driving, so came in for some food / drink. Great selection price on the menu and food tasted delicious! Everything felt freshly done and made in-house, but we were still served very quickly.

Would have been as easy 5 star both for the food (TREMENDOUS ribeye!) and covid precautions except for the horrendous queuing through the restaurant entrance to get in! Once in it was well organized with nicely spaced tables and some screens in use. Shame that customers couldn't read the one-way signs or chose to ignore them and that staff didn't feel that they could point them out. Food was totally great! Menus much simplified as well.
Been meaning to try for a while and took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme. Was pretty busy so expect a lot of people did! Might also explain the slightly slow service, particularly in between the main and dessert which is not usually were you would get a wait. The food was really tasty though, chips were outstanding quality home.coomed style. Staff were friendly, especially the manager / landlord.
Found this delightful place to stop for lunch on journey back to South Tyneside from Leeds - it was just what we needed! Perfect food (so much choice) served steaming hot in a relaxed, friendly pub. There was no room in the restaurant but that didn’t bother us one bit - the bar was perfect! I could’ve sat there for hours! Thank you
