It's a lovely 3.5 km walk around the reservoir; however, that is not what I use the car park for. I start my walk from there and go clockwise round the reservoir until I meet the footpath leading up past Browns Wood. It then is a mud-bath.

A lovely place for a relaxing walk. You do have to walk along the footpath for a bit of the way, but still a beautiful place to visit .

Refreshing walk in the winter sun around Thornton Reservoir. Good quality path all of the way around suitable for wheelchairs and bikes. Nice cafe and shop with plenty of wild birds on the water when we visited. Best of all free parking.

Lovely place for a short walk. Can be expand to longer walk if you want to try some of the paths in the woods and as far as I heard they are a lot so you can visit this place few times doing different tracks.

Love Thornton res..scenic walk all around...about 2 mile all around...toilet still open too..
