A cloudy, dull, wet and muddy day could not spoil the fascination of another seasons visit to this wonderful and varied woodland landscape. A lot of work has been done clearing and thinning out some of the denser areas which in turn creates some wonderful open vistas as well as closer, more shady patches. Intermittent carpets of Snowdrops, with the following Narcisia beginning to bud, complete the subtle additions to a pleasant walk. Well done Thornham Woodland Trust.

Very nice place to walk around. Paths are wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Quite a few suprises for the children as you walk around with large carved log's etc. Little cafe there is lovely, highly recommended the chocolate cake and latte. There is also a decent sized childrens play area, with the play equipment well spaced apart. We were there for around three hours but i think you could easily loose double that with the amount of woodland walks off the main path. There is also a small shopping area sign posted but we didnt explore that area, maybe on the next visit.

Only found this place after a friend recommended it during the first lockdown, and now it's a regular spot for a trundle. It stretches covers an area of about 12miles, so you can be out for decent amount of time. It was lovely visiting in the warm summer and I think even better in the autumn with all its stunning colours, and autumn lighting. There's a cafe to get a light snack, or enjoy a take away coffee on your stroll. I always pop into the little art gallery, run by a very friendly couple, who have a display of local artists work and a small range of eco-friendly products.

Took our two year old with his grandparents this weekend. The car park is small. Maybe only allowance for 20 cars or so, but we found a spot and also signs advertised an overflow car park across the road. The play area is good but the car park was closed. The walls themselves are great, essentially just walks through the woods but with occasional composting toilets along the way, as well as weird carvings, sculptures and play areas made from logs.

Very peaceful walk, lovely eco toilets at walk entrance, wood carvings, woodland walks, walled garden, play area, eco shop/cafe, and so much more. 2 for all day parking, (price correct on visit day). Enjoyed here very much.
