I have been a regular visiter to the Ritz ever since i was a young lad with my mum. Its a great comunity cinema ran by local volunteers, the cinema has been upgraded a number of times over the years Keeping inline with newer cinemas with its comfortable seating and digital screen. I will continue to visit the Ritz for as long as it remains open and i hope my son will continue to do so with his kids as i have mine.

Lovely place to visit, lots of charity shops and places to eat, short stay car park in the centre, long stay 100 metres from centre as you go towards the A19. Some really good book and toy shops, also specialised clothing shops. Heriot museum to visit. Supermarkets just off the Market place on road to the racecourse. Well worth a visit, we will be returning
1 hr free parking on the market cobbles with easy access to a wide variety of local friendly shops. The market was also in full swing with fruit, veg, clothes and the most amazing pies to name but few
Lovely market town .. nice little local shops with plenty to offer... good market on saturday and Mondays but could do with more support as is usual for all markets.. plenty of seating areas and parking the parking in the square free for an hour..which is a good thing these days for all concerned!!!
