Good pubs serving splendid food isn’t difficult in Kent. The Yew Tree is a case in point; tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy A-roads and Motorways lives an accommodating country pub serving Britain’s finest. I love the decor; a lot of care has been put into the look and feel of the exterior and interior. Outside there feels like queues of Alice in Wonderland. Inside it feels like a study. Service is professional, personable and perceptive. My pick of the dishes was the sumptuous scallops.

Lovely meal last night. The food was great, service was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Very covid safe, good social distancing and lots of cleaning. Will be back soon.

Went about 3 weeks ago for a friend's birthday. Had to pre-book. On arrival you're seated at a table in a waiting area by the entrance, hand sanitizer available, it's to make sure they're completely ready for you to go straight to the table. Face coverings are mandatory when not seated. Food was excellent, I had prawn cocktail, lamb and sticky toffee pudding, no complaints from any of our party. Each course was presented on a hostess trolley and you passed your own plates over. Not overly crowded, even though busy. Not sure if they do takeaway. Staff very pleasant. Would definitely return. A good evening was had by all.
