Lovely staff great location. Pub a bit dated. Just had a drink (pricey) so cannot comment on food although what we saw looked good.

Great pub all round, lovely seating area outside , dog friendly, just by the lake, enjoy visiting everytime we come to knaresbrough.

Absolutely vile . Was given a cold Sunday dinner with a burnt Yorkshire pudding . Carrots where cold and meat was cold too . At the bar I was given a glass with lipstick on . And there was a man behind me that was complaining because he had been given 2 out off date j20s My daughter's food was awful as well pasta was cold and mushy like it had been sat a long time Didn't get an apology for the poor meal just put my food in the microwave. Was not worth the money and would not return to eat Shame as the setting off the pub is lovely but food is overpriced and horrible quality.

Like many pubs, TWE is having a difficult time attracting visitors, but it's a friendly accomodating old world pub.
