Really good. This place was a perfect little find for us and our dog after a walk at Fairy Glen and were really happy with the little dog area, fresh water and also treats. Also, this place is really taking their Covid obligations very seriously. Sanitiser readily available, a QR code to access the menu (yes there's WiFi) and then contactless payments. All in all a perfect little find. Also, they're still doing Eat out to Help out and so that was a little Brucey Bonus!!

Lovely meals in a nice quiet environment. Lunch is reasonably priced and very good value. Took my father there today and he definitely recommends the salmon and prawn risotto. Good portions sizes too.
We've been to The Windmill a few times for Sunday lunch and it's always been a nice experience until today. Maybe me and my partner just got unlucky as other diners didn't seem to have any problems (although strangely few lingered over pudding and coffee ), but our beef was tough to the point of being inedible. We politely explained this to the waitress and said the rest of the meal had been nice (which it had been). It seemed to go down like a lead balloon. The response wasn't rude, just frosty. It could be that the implications of a further lockdown is taking its toll, which I understand, but it was a quite disappointing and upsetting experience today.
We recently visited the Windmill and the food and service were excellent as always! The food was served to a really high standard in a warm inviting country pub environment with cosy fires when the weather is a bit nippy. The Covid secure arrangements were all in place with track and trace, social distancing and excellent cleanliness and hygiene. Our meal was perfect with a great choice of vegan options , and hearty meaty options, plus plenty in between, not to mention the puddings! All served by our lovely waitress and nothing was too much trouble. We felt safe and secure, had delicious food and loved our evening during these troubled times thanks to the Windmill!
