My partner and I stopped here briefly before heading off for the long drive back down south. It was a Sunday, so of course we were going to order a roast dinner! I had the Duck, she went for roast beef. I can honestly say the food blew my mind. The presentation was top notch, the portions of veg were very generous and the flavour was perfect. Priced extremely reasonably at less than 27, we were able to have two full meals and a drink each. Anyone travelling past, or in the area should definitely pop in. The staff were friendly and accommodating, given that we just turned up in their busiest hour. Located in the very picturesque village of Colsterworth this visit was a genuine delight.

Booked Sunday lunch for 2.30 arrived early but accommodated. Table right next to a roaring log fire on a cold day. Real ale and wine both excellent. Food and drink very reasonably priced, good quality and health portions. Staff friendly and efficient considering the pub being busy. A lovely atmosphere. Will visit again.
What a fabulous place to go for lunch. The food is all freshly prepared and arrives piping hot on hot plates (just the way I like it). Staff are very friendly and it is wonderful sitting beside the coal fire with such a wonderful ambiance. Highly recommended.
I came here for a family meal (4 adults and 2 children). The service, food and price were great. I had a Caribbean curry with rice and peas.
It very good we felt very safe staff were very helpful we will be going again.
