Always get a warm welcome from the staff who serve up a lovely pint. Food is top class. Good atmosphere with just a bit of background music which enables you to have a good old chinwag without having to shout. All social distancing and hygiene rules observed. In all a top pub.
We came in on Saturday 5th Sept 20. The food was great after a long walk along the cliffs. I went for the chicken curry with nann bread and my wife had the burger. It came out quickly and there was more than enough to fill us up. Lovely pub with all the channel swimmers autographs and message on the bar wall and ceiling. Highly recommended!
A comfy, old pub, with history. They serve a good Sunday roast (both the beef and the goats cheese tart was good) and gin & tonics (very good gin selection - about 40 different gins to try). Staff is friendly and helpful. Booking a table is recommended for a Sunday lunch.
AMAZING! Not only were the staff incredibly welcoming and helpful, the food was great! We had the fish and chips and it was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area, but I do suggest making a booking and checking kitchen times as this place was rather popular and does close their kitchen between lunch and dinner.
