Disappointing lunch. We had fish and chips. Fish tasty but thin and chips dry and over cooked. Portions small. Not value for money for food but drinks are cheap. Good and friendly service though. Wouldn't recommend unless you are hungry and need to grab something.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and with sauce the sauce was quarter filled and the pizza was microwaved soggy at bottom soft chewy crusts not hard as oven cooked pizza are but the service was good, wouldn’t recommend this dish

Booking was simple. Check-in quick. Staff were friendly, especially the lady on reception. The room was good and much cheaper than other places... 60 for a family room during a heatwave in August. Food and drink was cheap as expected but definitely good value for money. Service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
For the hotel part I would give it a 5* as the rooms are large, well appointed and comfortable with attentive and caring front of house staff. The pub side (food) let's it down a bit. But I guess you get what you pay for. All in all, a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip to the area. Parking can be an issue but a bit of local knowledge from the front of house staff helped greatly.
