Visited the area for lunch while on the way home from a week camping, checked out a few pubs in the area for food and decided that The Welcome Fryer looked the best by a long way. My partner had Cornish Pasty and chips and I had the fish platter, I expected maybe a piece of fish, scampi and a fish cake. Boy I was wrong and in a good way, turns out that the fish platter is 3 large pieces of fish, turns out 1lb of fish, with chips and peas, all for a smidge under 12, definitely a bargain, I wasn't able to eat it all in one sitting so the very friendly staff gave me a take away box so I could take the left overs home , if only this place was closer to home. I would like to say to the owner, that the staff you have working there where the nicest and friendly staff I've been served by in a long time and made the whole experience more memorable, this was a great finale to our holiday. Thanks.

Best chicken and chips I have had for a long time, nothing was too greasy, I would definitely 3them.

Great fish and chips. Preordered for collection but had to wait 10 minutes they were so busy and popular.
