Great , friendly restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We went here for lunch while visiting our son in college. Great food and service! Highly recommend! Don't miss it! Also a beautiful river walk area is located nearby, so you can walk off all of the calories right away.

Great food. Great atmosphere. The beer is fantastic and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with picking the right beer. Such a great time!
My husband and I stayed in Lynchburg for part of our honeymoon trip and we ended up going to The Water Dog twice because we liked it that much. It was absolutely delicious, great draft beers/ciders, amazing service and exquisite outdoor sitting. We went one time during the day and another day during the night and both were great. Truly recommend trying their dogs, appetizers and drinking their draft beers. Thank you guys for a great dinner experience!
Food was good quality but wasn't the best I've ever had - especially for the price. Tables were nice and clean, but the overall atmosphere felt disjointed. Service was thorough and friendly. The kids menu didn't feel very kid friendly to us. The chicken tenders come with a spicy sauce unless you ask otherwise and the fries are served as truffle fries. While my kids aren't picky, I've ate with many kids who that wouldn't work for.
Shrimp tacos, oyster po boy, bacon cheeseburger all good. Had a cup of shrimp and crab bisque also good. I enjoyed the food and our waitress was excellent.
