Pretty upstairs dining room, friendly service, decent pub food. I had the tomato and burrata salad as well as chips, both of which were very nice. Others’ food (roasts) were apparently also very nice, and there was so much food that one of us took leftovers home. Good hot chocolate as well.

The prices and the menu give you the expectation of really good quality pub food. Turns out it was completely the opposite. I had the scallops to start or I should say scallop. It was a 9 starter with only 1 scallop! I wouldn't mind so much if it had tasted amazing but firstly, the dish was luke warm and secondly had no flavour. My partner had pulled pork in mini pitta bread which was probably the nicest part of our whole meal. It was a generous portion and the flavour was amazing. For main I had fish and chips, I didn't think pubs can get this wrong and yet the chips were like cardboard, dry and tasted as if they had been reheated a few times. The fish was mountains of thick batter, which did not taste fresh and with the smallest amount of fish inside. My partner had the burger and he said it tasted as if it had been grilled until nearly burnt. Aside from the food the service was great and the decor is lovely.

Came here on a Sunday without a reservation, and despite being busy, they were very accommodating to seating us. We all ordered a roast and dessert. Both were outstanding and arrived promptly! Plus our server was warm and charming. Would highly recommend coming here!

Well they fitted us in last minute for a meal. Prior to that the waitress in the bar was extremely helpful. The upstairs restaurant is very nice, and once again the staff were attentive and friendly. The menu was nice with plenty of different things for everyone. When the food came it wasn't a disappointment. Absolutely delicious. The beetroot starter was amazing, and good old fish and chips for main was equally delicious. A very nice impromptu evening had by all

Fantastic Sunday roast I went for Sunday roast without making a reservation. I sat in the bat area with my girlfriend and we had roast lamb and one roast pork with crackling. Both roasts were superb and tasted very good quality meat. There was plenty of vegan a huge Yorkshire pudding. The service was superb and I would recommend and return for food or drink again
