I enjoyed a good roast at this pub on Sunday. The menu seems to work differently to other pubs in that different days seem to have different menus. I also found it a bit odd that they close the kitchen at 18:30 so if you want dinner then you have to go earlier than that. Other than that the roast was good and the outdoor area was great to sit in.
Lovely friendly team, great service. Informed us we had two hours to keep the table. The owner (presumed, not in uniform but a red jumper) told us to leave via the nearest exit and opened the door (for us leave into the rain), 25 minutes before said stated time. We were already getting ready and had just settled the bill. Rude and arrogant. Covid is not a licence to neglect basic manners and hospitality.
Nice well organised pub. The service is good and caters well for Covid-19. Food is of a good standard. Location of garden, not so brilliant, but overall a nice pub, worth a visit. Parking on site.
Can not recommend this place enough. Was only in town for a few days and lucked out on finding this dream pub. Amazing food, friendly staff and a chicken named Little Missy wandering free in the garden!
