Not knowing this area of the country, we took a risk and booked a table here for dinner a couple of nights ago. When we first walked in we were slightly nervous as there were only a couple of other people there...but to be fair it was only 630pm. We were greeted by an extremely friendly gentleman who showed us to our table, took our drinks orders and told 7s about the specials. That guy was an absolute gem all evening and I'm sorry we didn't get his name . He accommodated dietary needs easily and went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect, including arranging a taxi. The food itself was exceptional! I had the duck breast and it was absolutely perfectly cooked and was served with beautifully creamy daupinoise potatoes. My sister had the halibut and again said it was superb. I can not recommend this place enough. We will definitely be going back.

Called in for lunch - nice welcome / good menu. My wife had today’s special of moules frites - which she enjoyed and then followed with a delicious creme brûlée. I had the fish of the day - beer battered haddock - I think she made the better choice. Well worth a visit.
Knowing nothing of the area we weren't sure if we'd go based on the photos and description on Google. But we were so pleased we went! The food and service was exceptional, it was a bit expensive but definitely worth the price. The area, garden and building is more beautiful than the photos let on. Would definitely be back. One reason its not 5 stars is because the price is a bit much for us to afford regularly.
Nice and friendly. We sat in the courtyard which was pleasant, there is also a nice shaded area under a canopy. Hand sanitiser on entrance and also in the pub, social distancing too. Food was excellent we had salmon and the roast beef with seasonal veg, will definitely go back.
Food was amazing. Went for works lunch and was amazed at the place. The staff were very nice. But the food was absolutely amazing. Beautiful place lovely and warm and cosy. Defo recommended if you want to go somewhere a bit special. And the sticky toffee pudding. Wow
