This is a great pub with lots going on. Newly refurbished with a great room for functions on the upper floors. Newly refurbished lounge area for comfort and bar with an open fire. There is also a darts and pool team here. Quiz nights and other entertainment on occasion. The staff are always friendly and helpful, who welcome customers with a smile. I can highly recommend this pub for great service and friendly atmosphere.

Large traditional pub in the village of Silverdale Newcastle Staffs, I have been into the cellar and it is possibly the cleanest one I've ever been in. Today the pipes were being cleaned which keeps all the beers and lagers spot on. There is a lot of refurbishment going on in both the pub and the large function room to the rear. I know the owners are putting a lot of effort into the building. Where some other traditional pubs are in decline, this one is on the up. So good luck to Mark and Kelly and all the staff.
