The food was great. Good value for money. We had been to the Vine and Spice a few times. This time my wife and I were seated in the bar area. A person who appeared to be in charge was very loud and shouty, often shouting across the bar area to another member of staff. It was very distracting. If we go again, we will request a table away from the bar area.

Good food. Gluten-free friendly. The friendly staff gave my kids a lesson on napkin folding. The food did not have much chilli in: I think they dialled it down because we had kids with us. Expensive.
A refined dining experience in a 500 year building. Excellent food combined with a great environment means this a pretty unique treat. And if the weather is great, make sure you take advantage to eat outside. Staff are always very polite and highly knowledgeable about the food they create.
My 50th Birthday meal treat. On arrival we were placed alone in a back room away from other eating tables, drinks / food orders were taken ticking along nicely. 40 minutes later 5 separate tables were seated at the same time sending one waiter hyper active and panicking. Right there and then the restaurant atmosphere was lost and it was no different to being sat , ignored in a trendy fast food burger bar. This comic like panic continued with the \New Person\ (who we never actually saw) being blamed for each tables ordering mistakes. Food was average not very spicy and not really worth writing about here compared to one waiter's performance who had already added 10% gratuity to our bill after spoiling what could of been a enjoyable meal. It was clean and tidy Shame but can easily be improved with some staff training..
These guys deserve 5 stars. It was our favourite place for an amazing curry before lock down. We tried them for a lock down takeaway and weren't disappointed. It is collection only at the moment but we had pre-ordered online, after which they called me to confirm and arrange the pick up time. I arrived to collect when they asked and it was brought straight out to me. The food choices seemed more limited (my favourite chicken stuffed with lamb mince was missing) but still as flavoursome as in-house. TL;DR great customer service and food.
