Lovely place. The food was really nice. The waiting staff were super polite too. They are taking active measures to keep the place COVID-safe: took our temperature upon arrival before taking us to our table and had lots of stations with hand sanitizer. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating too. There is paid parking around the back.

A lovely pub and restaurant that are doing a superb job during the pandemic. Temperature checks before being seated, masks on to walk around the venue, hand sanitiser to use before entering the toilets. Staff really friendly and the food is delicious and great quality and value for money.
Visited Sunday 30th Sept, excellent front of house reception from the tall young lady, very professional and polite. The seating areas very roomy and spotless. Service was prompt and precise. The food was excellent thoughout and even the quality of the coffee was first class. Really nice to see smartly turned out staff, the food can be great but it's the staff who bring it all together and represent the owners.
Had a great visit to the Village recently. Food and service was very good. Environment very well set out to manage current restrictions. Well worth a visit.
I haven't been to the village in a long time since the refurb, And I'm hugely disappointed I have no idea why they are bothering to take bookings. I booked a table for 3.15 the drink order was taken at 3.20, food order was taken at 3.30 and food came to our table around 4.15 and frankly very disappointed with the quality the vegetables where still hard and the meat was tasteless, it looked great but I wish I had gone to the fighting cocks I will not be going back unfortunately. Very sad because the decor looks great its a shame the food and customer service isnt
