Went for lunch walking from Thurlestone Sands, food excellent at this price point vs others in the area. Fish pie tasty and burger best I can't remember in a while. Deserts a little expensive but good. Covid one way system in place and all staff with visors, good show.
Visited the Village Inn on Sunday lunchtime.(pre-book online). Social distancing was very well implemented and the staff were very friendly, explaining all the new requirements. Full menu was available and I had the sea trout which was very well prepared. Highly recommended.
Easy to book a table online with a reply within 24hrs. The food was delicious (and plentiful). The staff were so friendly, checking to see that you were happy and actually spending time to chat - particular mention here to Hatti and another waitress (with blond hair), whom I didn’t get the name of. The restaurant was very clean, social distancing measures etc were clearly told to us on seating and all staff wore visors. Will definitely be returning again and again. Credit to everyone at The Village Inn.
Just brilliant! Staff so geared up in every way! Glad for their sake to see them in visors and not choking medical masks. Friendly and practically sensible. PERFECT. Really felt for staff, trying so hard, bless them, in awful circumstances. Great pub always. Even more laudable in current circumstances!
