We celebrated our first anniversary with a lovely takeaway meal from The View. We had our wedding meal there in May 2019, so were really happy to discover that The View is doing takeaway meals during this time. Steve's food is exceptional quality and full of flavour...the haggis fritters are a favourite of ours, they are so good...our main meals and deserts were delicious too. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and highly recommend the takeaway option to others, it's a lovely treat! The whole process of ordering, payment and collection is really straightforward and efficient. We would also recommend The View for wedding or any other celebrations! As I mentioned, we had a wonderful day celebrating our wedding there last year....Steve couldn't be more helpful and accommodating with our plans, answered all of our questions, and together we created a lovely bespoke menu for our wedding day. The food was outstandingly good and we received amazing feedback from our guests. Steve is also very helpful with particular menu requirements, or when we've asked for a little change to be made to a dish, he is more than happy to help. We really appreciate everything you did to make our wedding day special and memorable, and we just wish we could re-live that day all over again! We look forward to eating in the restaurant again in the future when things return to some form of normality, and are sure that you will come through this even stronger than before! Great place to pop in from breakfast, lunch and dinner
We popped in without booking and they managed to fit the two of us in for lunch. I had the pea risotto with feta and salad. It was absolutely delicious. My friend had the cod and prawns. It looked amazing and was reported as being very delicate with a lovely blend of flavours. The pavlova with vanilla cream was a good choice. There were two serving and kept very busy. Very handy for the Fife Coastal Path. Great view hence the name.
Stopped here for a very quick lunch before I had to rush off for a meeting and it was lovely! The staff were so accommodating and friendly and the view if you sit outside it amazing! I had the risotto and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back and hopefully will be able to stay a little longer next time!
This restraunt would be a great place to visit for the view alone, but the great food and excellent service make it a must if you are in the area. Sunday to Thursday there is a set menu with two courses for 24 which is good value in light of the quality of the locally sourced food. The service was also fantastic; the waitresses were lovely. We'll be back.
