Have passed this pub a thousand times. Never popped in. The Boat was closed. We were so hungry. Saw it served meals here and allowed dogs This is now our new local. Food was superb. Reasonably priced. Staff are brilliant. And our Husky was well received

Wow, what a wonderful pub, cosy, lovely smells wafting into the beer garden from the kitchen. Great beer, the beer garden is beautiful, all grass with lovely flower borders. You can tell the owners are very proud and so they should be. Very dog friendly to the extent the landlady has a hose to wash your mucky dog after a walk around the lakes, I can not recommend this pub with more gushing praise if I tried. If there is a perfect pub this is it!

What a fabulous pub! We visited at the weekend for the first time and were very impressed with the safety procedures in place - clear signage, one-way systems, table service, screens at the bar and clear distancing measures as we entered .This immediately put us at ease as everything had been thought of. The pub is dog friendly and has two large outdoor areas. Most of the outdoor seating is covered, some chairs having comfy cushions or throws. The staff are all very friendly and the landlady took time to have a lovely chat with us. The food is fabulous. Sunday lunch was cooked to perfection so we went back the next day for Pie Monday. An excellent choice of homemade pies. A gem of a pub that we will certainly be visiting again!

Recommended by friends to give this pub a go. Six of us call tonight at 7pm. Lovely food served piping hot and nice wine to go with it. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Great evening at a very reasonable cost. Will be returning in the future, most enjoyable evening

Enjoyed a lovely pint there recently. The beer garden is absolutely massive with some games for children. It felt proper tucked away, as if we were on a countryside. There's heaters above tables but ours didn't seem to be working properly. But not too bothered because blankets were provided too which was nice. Dogs are also welcome which was a plus for us. I've heard good things about Sunday Roast over there so that's what we'll be visiting for next.
