Its got a choice of indoors or outdoors, and both are sublime. The new tent out back with glass fire heaters is awesome; and as always the staff are stellar. What are you waiting for?!
Ate in here today it was dreadful. Had the vegetable wellington with the Yorkshire pudding. The wellington was just a wannabe Cornish pasty with hardly any vegetables in it and the pastry was like it just came out the microwave with no crispy pastry, that’s not a wellington in no chefs menu. The potatoes where also meant to be roasted but they also seemed to of been part boiled ( hard ) and put in the oven for no more than 10min. We did complain to members of staff and the didn’t give a toss, they just kept saying sorry. For 11.50 for a Cornish pastie some cabbage, carrots, peas and 1.5 size new potatoes isn’t extortionate, but come on let’s get this easy meal up to standards. Gutted because the last roast i had in the Vanbrugh was bang on and every other time that i have visited when in the area. We also booked a table for inside, but ended up sitting next to the 3/4 fridges in the garden. Can safely say i won’t be going back again on the strength of the food and the staff that didn’t give a flying. Gordon Ramsey would’ve ripped this place to pieces, let’s get it back to the high standards it was 2 years ago

This is one of my favourite pubs. The staff are so helpful and extremely friendly, the food is delicious. It’s the only pub I have been to where they are taking the covid precautions seriously. My family and I felt very safe. Great pub, thanks for another lovely experience and tasty food x
