Whilst the pub is currently closed for drinking, thanks to lockdown 3, we've just had our Valentine's day takeaway meal - all 3 courses of it! OMG, the food was amazing! The pub and the staff are lovely; try their takeaway food, you won't regret it! X

No photos of the pub unfortunately but we called in for a drink on a walk around Laycock and Goose Eye, We had our dogs with us and they were very welcome. Good job because we were a bit wet

I love this place. The food used to be fantastic but we've been back twice to try in again and as much as we love the place we will not not eat there again. Kids cheesy pasta cost us 5.95, this is not what we expect and disgusted at the price. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is great, it's a lovely cosy pub.

It's been years since I've visited this little treasure. Not much had changed. The atmosphere is still comfortable, staff friendly, background music is fantastic. But best of all is the food! That was awesome. I'd highly recommend a visit.

We love this place but not on this occasion, we ordered the red lentil pie at 10.50. Not what we expected at all........it was mashed potato with sweet potato and a bit of cheese on the top. The menu stated that there were red lentils, roasted red peppers and onions but no evidence of any of these ingredients at all. When asked if we enjoyed it, I said it wasn’t what we expected....and stated that some ingredients were missing. We paid the full amount much to our disgust, at least maybe a complimentary coffee but no. Very disappointing visit.
