The Truman brewery has a lot of unique shoes and pop ups. Also they do a great food court with delicious different types of food, my favourite are the Tibetan momos they have, beef, pork, chicken, prawn and vegetables. They are filled generously and excellent value for money and delicious. In the basement they have a wonderful vintage bazaar of sellers. I have found winter coats to summer aloha shirts... You just can find so many things in one place with excellent value for money. Different sample sales take place here as well and different fashion fairs.

The Truman Brewery, once a derelict building, is now some would argue, the focal point of Brick Lane. It's an event space primarily where lots of companies hold special events such as launch product launches or other fancy event for media such as beer festivals, and chocolate festivals. Not much has been done to spruce the place up, but that's the charm of it. Its industrial chic looks is exactly the kind of style that its trendy neighbourhood demands. It's an enormous place occupying hosting 3 floors, and on weekends especially on Sundays, it plays host to a lively food and vintage market which well worth a look. Keep an eye on What's On on their website, and come visit if you're in the area on a Sunday for some top nosh and/or looking for a unique gift for yourself or a love one.

Slightly tatty area. Some specialist boutique's. The further up towards the railway you go the worse it is. More towards Liverpool St there are some new bars restaurants and more new boutiques.

This is a jewel in the heart of the East End and we're about to lose it. If you've ever been here and loved it's wonderful mix of popup shops, galleries and street food then do what you can to stop Tower Hamlets granting planning permission for a mall and penthouse flats. It would be a totally barbaric act with total disregard for the views and quality of life for the local community. Please do what you can to stop the destruction of the Truman Brewery.
