Enjoyed a lovely lunch on a beautiful day. My sqid starter was great and the pie of the day was delicious. No room for a pudding - alas. Staff excellent. Plenty of space between tables. Then a walk around madingly hall grounds. Perfect. Highly recommended.

Great place with a huge outdoor seating area. Perfect for the cool and sunny weather out. Service was friendly and warm, food was excellent! As expected, the pints were great. I would STRONGLY recommend ordering the olives, they are incredibly fresh and tasty.
Beautiful location and beautiful food. The menu is high end pub food but with really interesting ingredients that elevate it to something quite special. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 star rating is that I dont know what the service is usually like. I ate here during the eat out to help out scheme so all tables were full and service was, perhaps unsurprisingly, a bit slow. On its own not a problem as we weren't in a rush, but the staff members were creaking under the pressure and didnt exactly give the warmest welcome.
Very good food in a pleasant country setting. Great care taken with covid precautions, and very attentive staff without being intrusive. A real gem in a beautiful quiet location.
Fantastic place. A lot of thought was given to each dish. Went to the place because it's on the Michelin guide, and rightfully so.
