Called in on our way home from holiday and they managed to slot us in early evening. The food was excellent- really lovely light batter on the fish. Home made tartar sauce. My daughter said the children's sausage and mash was the best she had ever had (and proper veg rather than peas or beans). All tables well spaced and plenty of sanitizer. A really good find.

We went to the Three Horseshoes today for a family meal having booked a stay at the Brecon Beacons Caravan Site and pre-booked our meal. We sat in the garden as we had our pooches, we were greeted at the gate with a smile. When we were brought the garden menu we were slightly optimistic as it was quite limited compared with what we had seen on the website. A few worried faces amoungst the group but we took the gamble. We quickly chose our trusty dishes, steak and fish and chips and the boys were happy with the kids meal menu. What can I say.... the food was amazing! We were offered complimentary Rosemary Focaccia bread with marmite butter, lovely taste, not too much marmite! Our dinner all arrived together, 6 dishes, lovely and hot, presentation is nothing like I have seen in a public house. Quality and quantity was perfect, without giving you a blow by blow account of each item, it was outstanding. Photos are sirloin steak and fish and chips. We enjoyed a small ice-cream dessert which was accompanied with lovely roasted nuts. All waiting members of the team were really helpful, attentive and happy. The toilets were clean and tidy with sanitising stations around the pub for use. Amazing hidden treasure in the Brecon Beacons. Thank you guys for such a perfect evening!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Appropriately social distanced tables. Tomato and goats cheese starter was lovey portion. The steak was massive and perfectly cooked. And the lamb was paired with amazing potato gratin and broccoli. Highly recommend for a local hearty meal

A busy and quality pub not far from Brecon. The pub food is done well, with good quality and tasty dishes. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the seating was comfortable and well-arranged and service is good. We ordered the 3 course menu, and the ox cheek and potato starter was tasty, but it was a rather large portion. The fish for main course was cooked perfectly, and all accompaniments were tasty. The duck egg custard tart was creamy and delicious.
