I have frequently visited as it is my local. The staff are fantastic very knowledgeable about each drink they serve and it's done in a professional and accommodating manner. Which I find is hard to come by. As for the food I've only visited for the Sunday carvery which in my opinion is the best around! Great selection of meats and vegetables and a good portion size. Most of which is mentioned to be locally sourced. Great place and atmosphere would highly recommend.

Whilst staying in Exeter and visiting relatives, we booked up in advance for an evening meal at this charming pub in Exwick. The food was excellent - I had a very tasty lasagne - and the others in my party were equally impressed with their meals. As it was a Wednesday evening there was a fun pub quiz which we participated in. Staff were very friendly and the overall ambience was very nice. All in all a most enjoyable evening out and would definitely return.
Just had a fabulous meal at the Thatch...the salmon meal is cooked perfectly. We also felt very safe with socially distanced tables, one way systems and plenty of sanitising stations. Thoroughly recommend a visit...these pubs could close if we stay away, do book a table...great value too on the eat out to help out scheme. Staff are lovely too !
Friendly local pub, loved by dogs and their owners! Good food. Flowery in summer, all lights on in winter!
