Very authentic tamilian food. This is one of the few places where I enjoy vegetarian food more.than non vegetarian food . The taste of each dish is so flavorsome and extremely tasty. Staff was courteous..do try some of the signature cocktails . Love the small taster that they bring out so we exactly know what to order. We over ate but totally worth it . Lovely time

As soon as you enter Tanjore Tiffin Room, Khar, a breezy freshness hits you and you feel as if you are in a garden cafe, even though you are in an indoor first floor seating in Union Park, Khar. The tropical mood further settles in with the very mildly sweet and spicy Virgin Guava Mary Mocktail and Virgin Ginger Lemon Honey Mocktail with a wonderfully strong flavour of ginger We asked for Arbi Ghee Roast as our first appetizer and was quite happy with the aroma of ghee in it. Next appetizer was a combination of yam and jackfruit cutlets served with a tangy chutney ...both were delicious. Once you are done with your drinks and appetizers, they bring you an elaborate thali laid out with samples of all their curries, rice varieties etc. While your server very patiently explains each curry and the combinations it can be served with, you may keep sampling the same. Loved the concept Based on this tasting, for the mains we decided on our all time favourite Vegetable Stew with Appam and the enticing Sivagamis Jackfruit Curry with Idiappam. Both the curries were delicious though we found the stew too sweet for our taste buds. The appam was perfectly shaped and the idiappams were liberally sprinkled with grated fresh coconut . Unfortunately they didn’t have any variety in desserts, only the Mysore Pak and Payyasam. Hence, we ordered the vermicelli Payyasam and found it a perfect balance of sweetness and flavour.Our Server Soso painstakingly took us through our lunch and we found all the staff very courteous. Tanjore Tiffin Room, Khar seems to be a very popular venue for Sunday lunch so if you are looking for some peace and quiet then try going on weekdays to soak in the ambiance over a refreshing drink ! The food was delicious. Ambience was lit. I had an amazing experience with my family. Quick service, decent staff and reasonable prices. Must visit!
Always love the food here. No matter what you order it will taste awesome. But mind you, it is for those who have a palette for South Indian food. I simply love it.
Unique experience. Wonderful hospitality. You get to taste all the available gravy and rice before you order any main course. Amazing taste. All the gravy items are different and unique... a must go location for food lovers
Best restaurant...food was awesome. Service was great. I always visit the restaurant on my trip to Mumbai. A must come place for everyone. Always get a food coma when I eat here..it's the best..
Really nice food slightly over priced. Alcohol is expensive here. Really tasty South Indian food restaurant. Gets crowded on the weekends so it's a good idea to reserve a table. They give you a taste of all the main courses they have and then you can pick from one of them! Loved it. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
Amazing service. Very quick on orders. Very helpful with choices . The reservation was hassle free. Food is worth it. Love the concept of introducing the different types of curries, rice. Will be going back and also recommending it to others!
