** Awesome ** 2 weeks ago this would have been a 1 star review the wait for starters was 55 minutes and we werent excited by the food but the staff handled it well and invited us to come back..... All i can say is WOW. The difference in experience was phenomenal. Exceptional service and the best fillet steak i have ever had anywhere. Highly Recommended.

Really tasty food with great selection of starters, plenty of well spaced out tables outside with hand sanitizer etc. and a one way system in place. Excellent friendly and prompt service, really impressed. Not cheap by standard pub prices but food was very good, would recommend.

We had a really great 3 course lunch in the talbot at the weekend. The service is very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had a good selection of things from the menu, everything tasted fresh and was cooked nicely. Great selection of food to pick from as well. Have also done a top job redecorating the place and renovating the walled beer garden area

We ate here last week and we didn't think the Covid-19 precautions were particularly good. There were a * lot * of people in the relatively small restaurant area - the same number of tables as before lockdown, I would say - and the tables were very close together. One large table by us was some kind of birthday party that clearly had a number of young women who were from 5 or 6 different households, if not more. The food was alright and the staff were quite helpful, polite and knowledgeable about the menu, but I would not go back there until there is a marked improvement in social distancing.
