We went for a meal 7 Adults really looking forward to good food and service and got the total opposite . We had to raw steak meal which was taken away and new cooked worse than the first it was asked for medium and got blue raw , so one of our party didn’t eat all night . On top of this we were served two meals and they had to start to eat and the rest got their about 10 to 15 mins later which came with over cooked shells for chips but not all the rest of the meals and again cold meals . We asked for a round of drinks for the table which took 30 minutes and two attempts to ask where were they to the waitress who took the order . At this point we spoke to the owner or manager and her attitude was I quote “ what do you want me to do about it we have been really busy and I am already giving you the 50% off the government ask “ . So a really bad experience and her idea of customer service is terrible and we will never go back again and will advise friends the same . Even as we complained politely another two tables had the same experience . They need a new Chef who can cook a simple steak and warm meals and show care in what he sends out to paying customers from the first meal of the day to the last and a Manager /Owner who is courteous and is all about customer service from herself and pass on though her team .

I love that this restaurant is just across the ocean. It has indoor and outdoor seating mad has several dining areas and bars. It has also been recently renovated. We came for a late lunch on a Monday and made reservations for a party of 7. The portions are big so I'm glad that we didn't order appetizers as we would not have finished our main. There is a kids menu and they call out vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options. I ordered the pork belly which came with a carrots, broccoli and dauphinoise potatoes. I would have preferred it over rice as the sauce was really rich and creamy. The pork belly skin was so crispy! They also have a carvery menu on Sundays.

Lovely to sit outside in the summer and eat the amazing fish and chips. Also the Sunday carvery is tasty.

Despite having gone to Westgate on sea for years this was my first visit to the Swan, it will not be my last. A lot of people can be dismissive about pub food, but a simple well cooked menu is a pleasure to eat. We had the the beer battered catch of the day with chips and mushy peas, the fish was great and the chips perfectly cooked. The children's menu came with a drink and ice cream which our children loved. We sat outside and enjoyed the sea breeze. Friendly staff and great service. I will be eating there again.
