Nice location beside the canal. Good pub fayre. Tasty chunky chips. Wife's pie was delicious and kids wolfed down their pasta. My only gripe was that I would've liked the portion of scampi to be larger.

Nice friendly place. We decided to sit in the cellar area, but it was so hot! Must have been 40c. Anyway heating was turned off and windows opened. Food was good. Then there was a power cut. A nice candelabra was produced, it was a really lovely way to eat dinner. At the end we were asked for our email address so they could send the bill the following day, how trusting! Lucky for them we had cash.
Beautiful old pub, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and tidy. The food is wonderful, we had a chicken and bacon salad and it was the best we have had, full of taste and plenty of different ingredients. All covid rules are in place and a very safe environment. We will definitely be back.

Roast dinner was delicious! Would definitely recommend the pigs in blankets and stuffing extras! Service was great staff are lovely and welcoming will be coming back again!
