Lovely people. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, even outside! Pleasing surroundings, even outside - the pub inside is always lovely and cosy with a log fire crackling in the grate, but we needed to sit outside. There is a constantly changing menu with a high proportion of vegan and vegetarian dishes. We had a great time.

Suggested by our AirBnB host! Visiting the area due to droppping son off at Uni. Very friendly people, clientèle and staff! Covid-19 measures in place - eating outside, hand-sanitiser, etc. Lovely outside, lit courtyard. They made a mistake and delivered a falafels dish (which we mistakenly didn't realise), then they returned a few minutes later with the mezze and gave it to us 'on the house'. Very kind and appreciated. Thank-you. Food was gorgeous and quick - the falafels, mezze, chicken burger. Genuinely nice place!
Lamb and beef Sunday dinners delicious and beautifully cooked. V well wrapped for the weather - still scorching after 10 mins in the car. Gluten free and vegan options were also fantastic. Friendly service and covid secure pickup system. Can’t recommend enough!
What a great pub! A friend who lives in Lewes recommend & was spot on! Sunday Roast was the best we've had in a long time or maybe ever in a pub (Beef 14). No surprise they have sittings at 12, 2 & 4 and all are booked! Staff were lovely & bent over backwards to help get us fed! (We had the condiments table!). Cold IPA on tap plus lots of local pumps. An absolute pleasure & will return when next in Lewes!
Lovely food. Beautiful garden. Wonderful staff. Sorry we were laughing so loud tonight, it was a 10 year school reunion. Such a perfect place to have it
