Had lunch here yesterday. On arrival hostess on the front desk obviously didn’t want to be there and was not at all friendly, there was no hand sanitiser and no track and trace undertaken. There were two of us and we both ordered the smoked salmon and prawn salad with a cappuccino each. When it arrived it was actually smoked salmon and crayfish and the salad consisted of limp leaves with one cherry tomato cut in half, a couple of slices of cucumber and a couple of pieces of pepper, at a total sum of 30. Was it good value...no Will we eat here again...no!
Great views, great food and beautiful staff. A lot of good things to say about this place. Would recommend to anyone In a heartbeat for a nice chilled pub restaurant environment. I have read a lot of reviews and too many people being nit picky overalls it's a lovley litte gem.
Unfortunately this is the second time we have been to Swallowtails and found the food to be below average. Previously we ordered the Sirlion steak that actually came out more like a thin fillet. We have ordered the burger that had zero taste and felt like it had come out of a frozen packet. The seafood paella was tasteless with unflavoured rice and small amounts of seafood in. Such a shame as the location is great but food not up to scratch.
