Free parking near the hotel. Beautiful building.!! We stay one night. Staff are very friendly and down the room is pub! Very nice break fast. Just back of the hotel direct you way to go OLD MAN. It was bit aged hotel so hotel room bathroom was aged. Overall great fantastic view from the hotel room!

Cozy country pub by the road with excellent rustic food with reasonable prices. Generous portions! Friendly and helpful personnel. Ok beer selection with nice local ales, excellent Gin selection. Plenty of parking.

Very odd experience. Booked with my Girlfriend. So first off we were told their were only two items left of the starter menu (soup and pate). So we order one of them the Chicken Pate, it came cold like ice cold out of the fridge with a thick layer of fat. Tasty but not usually what I'd except from local establishments in the area. A young couple came in and asked for a table and then the bar person offer all of the starters to them .. ? They ordered scallops and a cheese dish we were mystified by the so I asked the bar woman and she said they pre booked. I pre booked, I'm local why should I be treated differently. We ordered the mains. Roasted Pheasant with chips ( ran out of dauphine potatoes apparently) portion size.. small.. (I'd say the size of 2 pork sausages). Gravy was nice though like chip shop gravy. My Girlfriend ordered the Festive Pie which I thought was nice. But the veg was cold. Like not cooked. She didn't finish hers and so I ate it. We decided to get the bill and leave 2 star.

Great menu. Good quality grub. Menu has been limited due to covid but it is varied nonetheless. Local ingredients. Good traditional pub feel

Great service in a lovely setting. I should add that it is a hostelry that is owing Covid restrictions the letter. Table service, names taken, served one at a time. We felt very safe.
