Covid restrictions mean they have a 5pm and 7pm sittings. Booking advisable. Limited to 3 tables for drinks only. Plenty of benches outside 3 under canopy. We eat there for two nights while staying down the road at the campsite.Food is really good. Recommend the pies. All comes out piping hot. Take away pizza available.
An excellent place to reach at the end of a long days walking! Only 3/4 mile from the excellent Kestrel Lodge campsite, the draft bitters are perfect and food was very reasonably priced and damn tasty! The staff, whilst working with these difficult conditions, were warm, friendly and inviting making us feel completely at home. Definitely on the revisit list.
Lovely friendly pub and great food
Had an \eat out to help out\ meal here in August. Lovely welcome from very friendly and pleasant bar staff. Well kept local ale and the food was first class. I had the spiced potato and cauliflower pie - which was a real pie (not just a top crust ) and was delicious. Would not hesitate to return when next in the area. Thank you!
