After having several bad experiences in a local pub, my partner and I wanted to try a new place that we could go to regularly if we like it. We began going to The Stalbridge Arms around 6 months after the new management took over and what a breath of fresh air they are! The food is phenomenal! The family are just the loveliest, friendliest people who make running the pub seem a breeze (which I'm sure it's not). The staff are truly accommodating and have welcomed our dog as well, with open arms. It's so lovely to call this pub our local and we enjoy every single visit. We've not had one bad meal.
Best pub in south England.
It's dead. No atmosphere. Ignorant & rude bar staff. The Swan is 100% better.
Good value food but can be a bit chilly in the dining room
