The Spread Eagle is one of the few places that you can go in Brentwood that isn't pretentious. It's full of real people trying to enjoy good company, a great selection of drinks and spectacular food. The Land Lady and the bar staff are always very personable and they have an amazing ability to make you feel like you're at home. I highly recommend

This pub is not only now just 'our local' but the owner Jo and the team are what make my partner and I call it home. The second you step through the door your greeted by the lovely team if not Jo, Dan and her beautiful doggy too (yes this place is dog friendly!) The food is OUTRAGEOUSLY good. From the roasts to the burgers... its just all mouthwatering goodness. Fancy a cheeky drink or even a soft one to chill?.... The spread. Even the doorman comes and has a chat with you for a laugh. I love this place, they are friendly, fun and just all round the best pub in brentwood. No question.

Very relaxed pub with simple food. Nearly half the beer varieites had run out 2 days after Chritmas; this limited choice considerably. But the staff were polite and the locals welcoming
Had a take away Roast Dinner (a trio of meat option - Beef, Pork and Chicken). The quality of the ingredients including the veg was a level above and it tasted unbelievable. Easily the best local roast available and value for money too. Highly recommended.
